The ContrôlePC® series
| |
Back in 1992, Contrôle PC developed a first version of its black box called the ContrôlePC-II®. The first installations were made the same |
| |
year to better monitor ambulance services in Quebec. In 1995-96, Urgences-Santé, the largest ambulance operator in the province with |
| |
over 120 vehicles, acquired the brand-new ContrôlePC-III® which was to become the standard for ambulance services. Several others |
| |
ambulance operators later installed this new version. |
| |
| |
Today, Contrôle PC owns the major share of this market. In 1996-97 several units were installed with the SAMU in France. Many others |
| |
installations of the ContrôlePC-III® were done in various domains such as tractor-trailers, light trucks, towing, buses, cement mixers, |
| |
heavy machinery. |
| |
| |
The newest version of the ContrôlePC® Series, the CPC-IV™, which integrates GPS functionality, connects directly to the ECM |
| |
(Electronic Control Module) of the vehicle to capture more data on the operation of the vehicle. The CPC-IV™ includes up to |
| |
24 digital or analog inputs, plus 7 pulse inputs to capture data according to pre-defined parameters such as door and hood |
| |
opening, flashers, brakes, oil pressure, cool temperature, speed and RPM. Additionally, the unit has 8 programmable outputs |
| |
for functions such as activating door unlocking, horn, emergency flashers. |
| |
| |
The CPC-IV™ also enables the connection of other peripherals such as UHF/VHF radio, cellular modems, on-board computer, keyboard |
| |
and alpha-numeric display. |
